I did a restoration on an historic one that I found in pieces on a garage sale in the 1980's. It is just for display, as it did not have all the pegs for holding the head tension. (An old calfskin bass drum was salvaged for the head.) It was nice to hear one tuned and played.

I have always held luthiers in high esteem . its such a special art. you have to be so careful when you are giving the guitar it's voice.
