you're such a love...uh, reminder of Love!

I've come very late to this post (and to STRINGS), but the way I express my relationship with the Divine to others (and to be its conduit) is through body language. The Universe is inherently spiritual and vibrational, and studies have shown that the energy or vibes we give off come from our demeanor, facial expression, posture. We're constantly broadcasting, so to speak. Are we frowning, quiet, closed, unhappy, hunched over? Or do we smile? Do we greet people, even if it's only with a nod. Basic body language that is open says," I acknowledge you. I know you're there, and it's great that we've met!" And with openness towards/acceptance of the other, there is Love. No labels or Bible-thumps or doctrines--just immediate connection.

Happy Birthday, Noel!

Happiest of birthday wishes go out to you Noel. Son Ryan and I come out to visit when you are at the Rubicon. The music of Peter Paul and Mary goes right to the heart along with all the memories that surround it. The music and the memories are safe there... only to be refreshed by listening once again....as is so true with your solo offerings. Special congratulations to you and Betty for holding everything together back in the days when "Been on the road too long " had to have been much more than just a song but a reality and a challenge that you and your family successfully navigated through... much to the benefit and enrichment of so many. The world is a much more wonderful spot with you and your family in it. So please 'carry on ' as you've 'carried it so long'...'for everything that matters....carry on'!

Happy birthday, Noel!

I listened to this https://youtu.be/Wgh8Gfs2S7M?si=o8l4cYJs1qh6Hlua "review" of "Auld Lang Syne" last night and think it was beautiful. Then I read today's Substack from you and get to listen to your mash up of "Auld Lang Syne" and "Last Night." A wonderful synergy. Happy New Year, too!

Happy birthday Noel, happy New Year to you. Thanks for sharing this wonderful song for the last night of the year. It brings back memories of the past year and of all the friendships and relationships that have formed or strengthened in this past year. I agree that the only hope we have for the future is Love with a capital. L. And that's what I'm voting for too. Have a blessed new year and continue to sing. We thank you for all that you have brought over the years to so many. It points to Love, and that is the only thing that will unite us in the end.
